I started my travel career right out of high school. I was inspired by my mom, who was a travel advisor. She was constantly inspired by the excitement and joy her work brought to her and I knew I wanted to do the same. To this day, my favorite part of the job is when a customer finalizes the trip they’ve always dreamed of. It’s incredibly fulfilling to help bring those adventures to life.
One of my most memorable vacations was a two-week journey through Italy. The food, the culture, the people... everything about it was amazing. I still think about the memories I made there and how special that trip was.
I’m a big fan of cruising, it’s my favorite way to travel. I’ve been on over 20 cruises and love the convenience of exploring a new place every day without the hassle of constantly packing and unpacking.
I never travel without a few essentials: a large tote bag for souvenirs, my passport wallet to keep everything organized, and a few good books for relaxing moments at the beach, airport, or on the balcony.
One of my go-to packing tricks is lining the bottom of my suitcase with newspaper. It’s especially handy if your shoes get wet. Just stuff them with a few pages, and they’ll dry out much faster without needing to pack extra pairs.
When it comes to travel advice, I always tell people not to overbook their days. Make time to unwind and really take in your surroundings. You’ll enjoy the trip more and come home feeling refreshed instead of worn out. And don’t forget to chat with the concierge or front desk staff. They often have the best local recommendations.
If I could live anywhere in the world, it would be the Caribbean. The sunshine, the beaches, the food, the laid-back lifestyle—and the ability to hop between islands? That sounds like paradise to me.
