In 1951, in a small office in Times Square in New York City, Liberty Travel pioneered the concept of the vacation package—transportation, hotel, transfers, and more, all with a single price tag. Previously reserved for only the wealthy, a new era of affordable, long-distance leisure travel began. Liberty Travel began offering customers fantastic deals by packaging the vacation components to create better value for customers. We started by specializing in the resort regions in Miami and the Catskills of New York, quickly expanding to Mexico, the Caribbean, and later to Europe and beyond.
After nearly 70 years of booking amazing vacations, today we are excited to launch a new icon and logo. Travel is in our DNA, as is the iconic city of New York. Our logo takes its inspiration from the Statue of Liberty torch and the freedom that it represents. The flame sits upon a map marker representing the connection between freedom and travel, and our ability to connect people and places. The icon provides a clear and instant connection to our brand name.
Liberty Travel’s mission remains focused on making leisure travel accessible for families, couples, groups, and solo travelers from all walks of life. We take pride in our New York roots, but have expanded our focus with a nationwide network of home-based travel consultants with expertise spanning around the globe.
Liberty Travel has stood the test of time through economic recessions, civil unrest, and natural disasters. We have adapted our model and made it easier to connect with an expert in person, on the phone, or online. We have recently introduced our commitments to our customers of guidance, value, peace of mind, and service. These are uncertain times, but Liberty Travel continues to make travel accessible with the information, expert travel advice, and the great value we are known for. Although most of our stores are closed, we are open for business and taking phone and video appointments. We know many of you are ready to travel and need advice on where you can go and what to expect when you get there. Others are calling to take advantage of historically low prices for 2021. And our expert consultants are working from their kitchens, couches, and coffee tables to provide you with the same level of personal service you have come to expect from us.
